Founded in 2000, Bekk is a leading Norwegian technology and management consultancy with more than 600 employees across offices in Oslo and Trondheim. Its on-site teams support public and private sector clients with digital product development and management consulting, helping them advance their digital transformation. Bekk has been operating independently under Finnish listed software and services company Tieto (formerly Tietoevry), which is now divesting Bekk as part of its strategic refocus under the Tieto brand.
“Bekk has a second-to-none team and reputation, long-standing client relationships and a consistent track record of growth – making it one of the strongest technology and management consultancies in Norway,” says Lars Cordt, Partner at Axcel. “We’re delighted to work with Bekk to support its continued development as a leading digital transformation partner, and we appreciate our good collaboration with Tieto in reaching this agreement.”
“Axcel is a strong fit for Bekk given its tech sector expertise and experience backing technology and management consultancies,” says Bekk CEO Frithjof Frederiksen. “Bekk’s success rests on our great team, our deep technical expertise and our clear, pragmatic focus on solving clients’ digital challenges. We’re excited to continue developing Bekk in a way that best serves our clients and our people.”
Bekk operates in the IT services and consulting market, driven by an increasing demand for advanced digital solutions from both the public and private sectors. Widely recognised as one of Norway’s most attractive employers, Bekk has consistently ranked #1 among Norwegian IT students.
Bekk is Axcel’s second current platform investment in Norway, alongside leading CRM software provider SuperOffice, where Axcel recently extended its ownership through a continuation fund.
The acquisition of Bekk marks the ninth investment from Axcel VII and is expected to be completed in the first half of 2026.
